Do you work with issues other than relationships?

Yes, I help people struggling with many of life’s challenges, including depression, anxiety and recovery from trauma.

What if I want to come in for couple's counseling and my partner doesn't?

Please come in.  Most people find that when they get help and begin to feel better, their relationship improves, even when they begin this work without their partner.

Shouldn't I be able to handle this on my own?

While you certainly have the inner resources to address your problems, therapy can give you the tools, support and insight you need to feel better sooner.

How do I choose a therapist?

First check to ensure that a potential therapist has the proper credentials to practice.  After that it’s really a matter of finding a “good fit”.  Call the therapist you are considering.  Ask about his or her experience working with your particular concern.  Choose a therapist with whom you feel comfortable talking and you feel truly heard.

What are your credentials?

I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work.  I am licensed and certified to practice psychotherapy in the state of Maryland.
